Another Valentine in a Fun Card Style

Good Morning Everyone,

Today I'd like to share a Valentine's Day card I made for my niece Sophia.  I found this really fun card style on YouTube.  It is from Splitcoast Stampers and  Laura Lipe wrote the tutorial for it.  This card is called a building block card.  I had never seen this shape card before, so I had to try it.  Here is what I came up with.  The front of card looks just like a regular flat card.

But then you open it and it is definitely not just a flat card!

Isn't that fun???  There are so many things you can do with this card.  I know I'll be making more of them for different occasions.
I used a Recollections Valentine Paper Pack for the solid and patterned papers and the white card stock is Georgia Pacific Brand from Walmart.  The felt hearts are by Creatology.  I used the Cricuit Sweethearts Cartridge for the three layered hearts on the front of the card, the Cricuit Artiste Cartridge for the Banner across the hearts and the letters for LOVE YOU were cut from the Plantin School Book Cartridge.  My niece's name on the front and Happy Valentine's Day sentiment on the inside were printed from my computer.

That's my card for today.  I hope you liked it and that you'll head over to Splitcoast Stampers to check out the tutorial.

Hugs,
Paula

Valentines Day Card

Good Morning Everyone,

Merry Christmas, Happy New Year and anything else I've missed!  LOL!  It has been quite some time since I've posted anything.

Today I'd like to share a Valentines Day card I made for my nephew.  I decided to try a center step card.  This is the first time I made one and it was a lot of fun.

I got the idea for the card when I found these adorable felt stickers at Michaels.  They are made by Creatology.  When I saw the blue and red combination on the hearts, I immediately thought boy card.  I know there are an awful lot of hearts on here for a boy card, but this little boy is just under three months old so I think I'm ok!  The vertical heart stamps and the stamp on the bottom with the hearts and flourish are all Craft Smart stamps from the dollar bins at Michaels.  The love stamp is a Close to My Heart Stamp.  The red ink I used is from Michaels as well.  For the hearts in the center I used the Cricut Sweethearts Cartridge and for the banner the Cricut Artiste Cartridge.  All the paper is by Recollections.

That's my card for today.  I'm hoping to have another card to share soon.  I'm making a girly card for his sister, my niece Sophia.    I can't wait!!

Hugs,
Paula
