Doily Birthday Card

TGIF!!!  I'm so happy it's the weekend.  Today I'm attaching the picture of the doily birthday card I made for my SIL.  I hope she likes it.  I chose an unusual paper for the card - a hounds tooth pattern.  My SIL loves plaids and I couldn't find any plaid pattern paper. All I could find was the hounds tooth.  I think it is kind of fun.  Just like the thank you card I made earlier, I cut the doily card from the Cricut Wild Card cartridge at 5" inches, same for the matching envelope.  I used the blackout feature to line the inside of the card.  The Happy Birthday sentiment is from A Child's Year Cricut cartridge cut at 1 3/4 inches.

Thanks for looking at my work.  If you like it, please leave me a comment.
Have a great weekend!

Wedding Card

Today I'd like to share with you a wedding card I made for my niece.  This is a gatefold card I made using black cardstock from Walmart.  It is very inexpensive and I love it.  I used my Love Struck Cricut Cartridge for the hearts.  I cut the heart background and the floral cut out heart on top at 5 inches.  The background is white Bazzil Cardstock and the paper for the floral top part is an off-white glittered paper from DCWV.  The pearl embellishments are from Michaels.  The love bird embellishments are from Jolees.

I'm sorry the picture isn't that great, but you get the idea.  I'd love it if you'd leave me a comment and let me know what you think of my work.  Thanks and have a great day!

Thank you card

Hi everyone!  Hope you all had a great weekend and are enjoying an extra day off for Columbus Day!  Today I'd like to share a thank you card I made for my parents.  They gave DH and I a very thoughtful and generous gift for our anniversary so I couldn't wait to make a card to let them know how much we appreciate them. This card was cut using the Wild Card Cricut cartridge.  Wild Card is one of my favorite cartridges and probably one I use the most.  I cut the Doily card at 5".  The card stock is DCWV At Home Stack.  The inside of the card peaking through the scallop cuts on the edge was the same Doily card cut on blackout.  For that I used a pastel lavender paper from Colorbok.  The sentiment, How Thoughtful, was also cut from the Wild Card Cartridge, also at 5".   The flowers are by Recollections Boutique Fleur, Mulberry Paper Flowers.  I just love them.  They come in a small clear acrylic paint can with a little opening disk attached. TOO CUTE!  The green and purple ribbons are from Michaels.  They are the ones that are usually 50 cents per spool.  The brad in the center of the flower came in a bulk pack I got at AC Moore.  I also made the matching envelope.  I hope my parents like the card, and I hope you do too.  Leave me a comment and let me know what you think.

I'm also making a similar card for my sister in law for her birthday, which I hope to post tomorrow.  Thanks for taking a look at my work.

Golf Themed Birthday Card

Today I'd like to share a birthday card I made with a golf theme. This card was made for a man celebrating his 60th birthday. I always have such trouble coming up with ideas for male birthday cards. Luckily my client, the man's wife, gave me some great input as to the things he enjoys and I came up with the card below.  It is an easel card and it measures 4 1/4 X 5 1/2 inches.  I used Bazzill cardstock and the patterned paper is Recollections Basics.  I cut out the sentiment with my Cricut Expression using A Child's Year cartridge.  The embellishments are from Jolee's.  I'd love to hear what you think about the card.  Leave me a comment.  Thanks for stopping by.
