Two kinds of birthday cards

Good Morning Everyone!  I hope you all had a nice long holiday weekend.  I know I enjoyed mine, particularly since I got to spend some time in my craft room.  That's what makes me most happy.

I created two birthday cards and they couldn't be more different.  The first card is very basic and simple.  It could be used for either a man or a woman.

This is a 5"x7" card.  For the base of the card I used ColorBök brown card stock. Tthe stripped paper is also by Colorbök, and it's from the Sunset Glow stack.  I used Spellbinders Nestabilities Labels Four Small dies to cut the orange and cream labels.  (The orange card stock is by ColorBök and the cream is by Recollections.)  The sentiment is from CTMH and I stamped it with Versa Magic Gingerbead chalk ink.

Now for the second card.  Something totally different, intricately folded and very girly!  This card is a Double ZigZag card.  I saw this folded card on a blog somewhere -- and I apologize because I cannot remember where.  I changed it up a bit, but I think it came out really nice.

This card is a 4"x6" card when folded.  The base of the card is made using cream Recollections card stock and the edges are all punched with a Martha Stewart Punch Around the Page punch.  (I can't recall the name of the punch set, but it is one of my favorites.)   The pink and blue floral papers are both from the DCWV French Country Stack.  All the pearls are by Recollections.  I used several different sizes.  The label on the band that holds the card together was cut using Spellbinders Nestabilities Labels Four Small dies.  The Happy Birthday sentiment is by Fiskars.  The sentiment stamped on the inside (Have a day filled with
. . . Love) and the heart are from the CTMH Celebration stamp set.  Everything was stamped with CTMH Vineyard Berry ink.

Well that's it for today.  I hope you liked the cards.

Hugs,
Paula
