I haven't posted in so long. Between the holidays and birthdays and all the snow we've had here, I really have not had too much time to do any crafting. Well I'm happy to report that I've been reorganizing my craft room and I've begun working on some new projects. Today I'd like to share a project that I've been wanting to try for a while. When I purchased my Gypsy I received the Tags, Bags, Boxes and More Cricut cartridge which I always wanted, but never got around to purchasing -- then it was retired. There are so many fun things on this cartridge, and one of them is a box that looks like a slice of cake. For my SIL's birthday, I decided to try to make one of the boxes and decorate it as a little extra something to go along with her gift. I filled it with her favorite candy, and I hope she likes it. Below is a picture of the cake slice that I made. I decorated it to look like a yellow cake with chocolate frosting. I used a swirl embossing folder on the "frosting" of the cake and then I flocked it. For the middle layer of frosting I used flocking also. I decorated it with flowers with brown centers, kind of like sunflowers which happen to be her favorite. I also made a coordinating card. Please leave me a comment and let me know what you think. Thanks for coming by.
Hugs,
Paula
